
Job Description
Essential Functions
Ensures all Federal Lending requirements are met under TILA-RESPA regulatory requirements.
Works directly with members to collect and validate application information and documentation throughout the mortgage process.
Visual inspection of all documentation provided by members for any fraudulent or suspicious activity while adhering to all Federal requirements of Anti-money laundering policies.
Requests, monitors and validates timely receipt of mortgage documentation from 3rd parties including appraisal; title commitment; flood certificate; 4506T & TIN matching for Social Security verification.
Reviews Tri-merge credit report for any fraudulent alerts that need to be cleared or recent credit inquiries that need to be verified. Updates liabilities on application and verifies payments as necessary.
Reviews title commitment to ensure collateral is clear of any liens or judgments that could impact the lien position of Wings.
Abides by the U. S. Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) by providing a copy of appraisal to borrower at least 3 days prior to signing.
Maintains open communication with all 3rd party vendors and agents, such as but not limited to Listing Agent, Settlement Agent, and Sellers agent to support a smooth and efficient loan processing experience.
Submits Private Mortgage Insurance quotes and determines most suitable PMI provider. Obtains certification prior to close date.
Assists Loan Officer in responding to member inquiries regarding application status by phone or email. Also required to meet face to face with members when requested by borrower.
First-level member service resolution when there is a complaint or dissatisfied member.
Utilizes automated underwriting system (DU) as a processing tool to interpret and ensure loan files meet investor and Wings Financial lending requirements.
Secures evidence of property insurance and reviews binder to ensure correct Wings Financial mortgagee clause is in place and collateral is insured sufficiently.
Responsible to know and understand all state specific lending requirements for those states that Wings Financial offers financing in such as real estate attorney requirements and community property laws.
Ensures for security and privacy of all members personal information & documentation.
Adheres to QC standards identified in performance plan
Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications
College degree preferred
2+ years of mortgage experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Encompass system knowledge
Strong organizational skills
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Word)
Bondable
Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan originator ("MLO") unique qualifier (NMLS registration number). Must have the ability to successfully completed all MLO Registry requirements, including passing background and credit checks and submitting to fingerprinting and to any other requirements of the rules enacted pursuant to the S.A.F.E. Act. required
Additional Information The pay range for this position is: $25 to $28 per Hour plus incentives and 3% annual target bonus. Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.
