Position Overview: The Asset Management Associate’s primary responsibility is to oversee the overall performance of a nationwide portfolio of Multifamily and Student Housing assets. This position will play an integral role in investment performance and the growth of the Arden Living platform, reporting to the Managing Director, Asset Management. Job Responsibilities: Assist with oversight of third-party property managers and leasing, including strategic planning, management, leasing, financial analyses, and reporting on asset performance. Develop and implement strategic business plans for multifamily and student housing assets, focusing on maximizing performance and market positioning. Oversee property operations, review management reports, track performance, and build strong relationships with property managers and onsite staff. Conduct site visits to monitor capital projects, approve expenses, and address operational issues. Analyze property-level contracts and agreements, and collaborate with attorneys as needed. Conduct market research to inform strategic planning and asset performance. Manage the reporting process for business plans and portfolio reviews, and assist with annual budgets, rental rates, and appraisals. Maintain relationships with joint venture partners, management companies, and industry consultants. Ensure compliance with all relevant agreements and reporting requirements. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or a related business discipline, and have three to five years of experience in asset management, capital, and leasing. Experience with multifamily and student housing property management or acquisitions is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills (including building and proofing financial models) are required, and familiarity with Argus and real estate analysis tools such as CoStar is a plus. The role requires the ability to travel between properties throughout the U.S. Competencies: We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of commercial real estate terms and investment principles, excellent written and oral communication skills, and outstanding organizational abilities with keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will be motivated, results-driven, and possess a strong work ethic. Additional Details: This is an in-office position, preferably based in the company’s Dallas office. xsgimln Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000, plus competitive benefits.
