Strong understanding of SBA SOP guidelines, 504 loan structures, eligibility rules, occupancy requirements, and collateral standards. Prior experience working with a Certified Development Company (CDC), commercial bank, or non-bank SBA lender preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze owner-occupied commercial real estate and major equipment financing transactions. Proficiency in spreading financials, creating projections, and performing detailed cash-flow analysis. Ability to review and assess business financial statements, including tax returns, P&Ls, balance sheets, and aging reports. Experience preparing detailed credit memos for internal committees, lenders, and SBA submission. Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking abilities with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills for coordinating with borrowers, lenders, CDC staff, appraisers, escrow officers, and SBA reviewers. Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and meet strict deadlines. Organized, self-motivated, and capable of producing clear, concise underwriting summaries. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field preferred.
