Job Overview: The Director Region Human Resources will lead and direct the HR function for the designated region, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives. The role involves employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, organizational development, and collaboration with talent management within the region. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the regional leadership team, providing insights and guidance on all HR matters.

What You’ll Do

Implement regional HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy through SMART goals and KPIs.

Bridge management and employee relations by addressing concerns and other issues.

Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, develop, and retain high‑quality talent.

Oversee and manage the performance management process that drives high performance and supports career development.

Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to regulations.

Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the region.

Maintain a positive working environment by fostering a strong company culture consistent with Rexel’s values.

Ensure compliance of the compensation and benefits plans for the region.

Conduct career conversations with managers and employees to provide relevant skill development opportunities.

Provide decision support through people analytics.

Lead with a local and national focus.

Participate in regional and national meetings and attend other meetings and events.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications What You’ll Need

Proven experience as a Human Resources Director or HR leader.

Relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are advantageous.

Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) – Preferred.

Human Resources background required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

People‑oriented and results‑driven.

Ability to work within an agile and design‑oriented organization.

Knowledge of HR systems and analytics.

Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.

In‑depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
