Sales Director, Amazon The Sales Director, Amazon reports to the Sr. Director of Sales, US and is responsible for driving profitable, multi-year growth of the Shark business on Amazon. This role owns the overall account strategy and P&L, leads annual negotiations, and partners cross-functionally (Marketing, Demand Gen, Supply Chain, Strategic Sales, Finance) to expand market share and deliver best-in-class execution.

The Sales Director will lead a team of account managers, own category and sales planning, and serve as the primary business manager for Amazon—balancing strategic leadership with deep operational and financial rigor.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Amazon commercial relationship, P&L, and overall account strategy for the Shark US business

Develop and execute sales and category strategies to achieve or exceed revenue, margin, and market share targets

Lead annual negotiations, customer meetings, and joint business planning with Amazon stakeholders

Partner cross-functionally to deliver flawless execution of promotions, tentpole events, and new product launches

Manage customer profitability, including trade spend, over-and-above investments, and ROI analysis

Drive fact-based decision making through financial analysis and scenario modeling

Monitor POS performance, trends, and competitive activity to identify risks and growth opportunities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of KAMs/NAMs, including performance management and career development

Act as the senior business leader for the account—setting direction, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring execution against key milestones

Attributes & Skills

Proven Amazon and eCommerce sales leader with strong strategic vision and hands‑on execution mindset

Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to connect data to action

Exceptional relationship‑building, communication, and negotiation skills

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage complexity at scale

Education & Experience

10+ years of account management experience, preferably in consumer products or durables

Deep Amazon and eCommerce expertise required

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Additional Requirements

Ability to travel up to 20%

Compensation and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $189,300 – $231,300 USD. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
