Position Overview
The ANA is expanding its marketing team and currently hiring across a number of roles focused on marketing and campaign strategy, development and execution. The Director, Senior Copywriter will play a vital role in this expanded team, bringing campaign strategies to life through exceptional copywriting and creative execution. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Campaign Development, this role owns written content across ANA's marketing channels and manages campaign production to ensure brand consistency and campaign effectiveness. This is a hands-on creative role for a talented writer who can craft compelling messaging for multiple audiences—from C-suite marketers to conference attendees—and translate strategic briefs into high-performing creative assets.
Key Responsibilities Copywriting & Content Creation (55%)
Write persuasive, on-brand copy for all marketing channels: emails, social media, paid ads, landing pages, event marketing, sales materials, website content
Develop messaging that resonates with target audiences, maintaining ANA's brand voice
Create compelling subject lines, CTAs, and body copy optimized for each channel
Adapt messaging for different audience segments (prospects, members, sponsors, practice communities)
Write long-form content including sales enablement materials, campaign one-pagers, and presentations
Edit and refine copy from team members and external partners
Creative Brief Development & Production Management (30%)
Translate campaign strategies into actionable creative briefs for designers and video producers, partnering with them on asset development
Manage creative production timelines
Coordinate with external agency on creative execution when needed
Lead campaign development process from concept through final delivery
Ensure all deliverables meet brand guidelines and campaign objectives
Brand Quality Control (15%)
Serve as guardian of ANA's brand voice and messaging consistency
Review all marketing materials for brand messaging alignment
Develop and maintain templates and toolkits for repeatable campaigns
Create style guides and messaging frameworks
Train other team members on brand standards and writing best practices
Partner with VP and Senior Director on brand messaging implementation
Qualifications Experience Bachelor’s degree and 6-9 years in copywriting and creative roles (agency, in-house, or B2B marketing)
Portfolio demonstrating versatility across channels, formats, and audiences
Experience managing creative production and collaborating with designers
B2B, professional services, or association marketing background preferred
Track record of writing high-performing campaign copy
Core Competencies Exceptional Writing: Clear, compelling, and persuasive across all formats
Strategic Thinking: Understands how copy supports campaign objectives
Brand Sensibility: Maintains consistent voice while adapting for audiences
Production Management: Juggles multiple projects and deadlines effectively

Technical Skills Expert-level writing and editing capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, social media platforms
Basic understanding of design principles and production processes
Experience with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, etc.) a plus
Salary and Total Rewards Package
