Role Description Perkins Live Student Director(s) are/is responsible for providing assistance with programming at regularly scheduled USC programs Perkins Live. Responsibilities include being a part of the program planning, execution of promoting events, oversight of executing the program, and assisting in the assessment process. Directors will be well versed on policies and procedures within the University Student Centers.
Primary job duties
With oversight from Associate Director and Program Coordinator, coordinates all Perkins Live programs:
Advance all Perkins Live Programs, preparing vendor information and all event needs
Tracks all Perkins Live VIP participants
Orders items for promotional purposes, Crew, and VIP program
Create social media content once per week to advertise upcoming events
Work 4 office hours per week
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic understanding of how to program events and time management skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Experience in leadership/management positions
General knowledge of multiple areas of the University community is a plus
Punctuality, reliability, and dependability
Interest in working in the student affairs field or event planning/management
Must be able to work nights and weekends
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week during event weeks (4 office hours and 6 event hours). Not to exceed 15 hours per week.
Must be a matriculated University of Delaware undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5
Must be able to attend fall training in August
