office. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving and people skills. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week. Your Team

and more specifically, the Commercial Real Estate team. Your Role

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage tax compliance and tax advisory engagements in the NYC Commercial Real Estate Industry group. Determine resource requirements and work with a team to ensure exceptional client service Manage expectations with team members and monitor engagement progress Review partnership and corporate tax returns and ensure accuracy and completeness Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance Draft tax technical memorandums and share knowledge to develop team members Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements through identification of current client needs and target client requirements Actively participate in proposal development, at the direction of management, and take a lead role responding to requests for proposal Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity and independent thinking. The successful candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred CPA, JD or EA required Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience 2+ years of managerial experience Current experience with commercial real estate clients including real estate, private equity and joint ventures REIT experience is helpful but not required Strong tax research skills Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including ProSystem, CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement Solid project management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
