POSITION SUMMARY Participates on a Team which performs various tasks associated with managing a Business Banking portfolio Collaborates with Retail Banking staff to proactively review for renewals and/or extensions of maturing credits prior to maturity. Responsible for the monitoring of the less complex and smaller dollar Branch assigned Business Banking portfolio and requesting and consistently following for updated financial information as needed. Learning to spread and analyze financial information when received, perform annual reviews on evergreen Small Business Lines, transfer to Special Assets as needed and completion of required underwriting forms. Support activities to deepen and retain portfolio relationships through identifying opportunities for Line increases and the cross selling of other bank products and services. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring relationships are properly risk graded through a comprehensive analysis that evaluates credit risk factors in assigned portfolio to proactively identify risk and mitigation of loan losses. Prepare complete Credit memos for approval or Adverse Action for denials. Recommend credit actions for approval based on total exposure. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain assigned loan portfolio, minimizing risk by maintaining delinquencies and identifying weak loans according to Bank policy. Maintain a log of maturing loans and coordinates renewal process to ensure that necessary information is received prior to maturity. Maintain and coordinate Covenant management responsibilities. Ensure all documentation necessary for completion of loan package is acquired. Ensure loan documentation is accurate and reflecting the terms and conditions of loan approval before releasing documents for signing. Provide secondary point of contact to proactively request and obtain financial information needed from the Borrower for Renewals, Modifications and Payoffs as needed. Order and interpret business credit reports, personal credit reports on business principals and SBSS scores. Order and review appraisals/evaluations and prepare and submit the documentation request to Loan Documentation. Input historical financial information into spreads to show financial trends, evaluate repayment and mitigate risk. Analyze financial statements and other pertinent data to determine credit worthiness and is developing the skills needed to make independent comments, conclusions and recommendations. Provide underwriting and prepare Credit Memo for Renewals and Modifications within assigned portfolio for recommendation to another Approving Officer based upon total credit exposure. Ensure the loan requests are processed timely. Coordinates with Title and Escrow companies for secured loan products as needed. Downgrade the Risk Grade of relationships with identified adverse financial conditions and complete Transfer to Special Assets when necessary. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review of credit risk rating and borrower/guarantor analysis. Learn to assess changes, clearly identify offsetting mitigates and summarize recommendations. Understands the Bank’s products and services and support Tri Counties’ Service with Solutions culture. Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, preferred. Financial analysis experience and credit training desired Related experience within the financial industry desired. Exceptional communication and analytical skills. Good interpersonal skills, team oriented, and strong customer service skills. Ability to complete a high volume of work efficiently and with accuracy. Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment. Basic business acumen and ability to analyze small less complex loan types. COMPANY PROFILE:
