Job Purpose The Manager, Product Strategy will be a key player in the product development lifecycle for the Med-Metrix Software Applications: Workflow, including the SmartFeeds, Liability Estimator, Vendor Manager, Patient Information, Remittance Manager, and Dashboard, Patient Intake Automation, and Denials Prevention and Mitigation. The Manager, Product Strategy will be responsible for defining and executing strategies that lead to the creation of new features and functionality that supports the enterprise vision of driving better results through intelligent technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders and developers to craft a clear product vision that aligns with Med-Metrix’s overall goals
Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap
Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and initiatives based on data-driven insights and a deep understanding of customer requirements and business objectives
Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Work closely with stakeholders to create a product backlog based on business value and support the delivery of product roadmap commitments
Lead Scrum Teams through the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch. Monitor and track project progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure project milestones are met, communicating with stakeholders throughout.
Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog, balancing the requirements of various stakeholders with business objectives
Support product demos and user acceptance testing
Coordinate production releases and post-release monitoring
Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful completion of release/sprint goals
Work with stakeholders and development leads on priorities and day-to-day execution, while exercising strong decision making across the team
Other duties as assigned
Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times
Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
Experience with key product management functions: requirements writing in Jira or Azure DevOps, building a minimal viable product (MVP), managing on time releases
2+ years’ experience managing a team of Product Managers; global management experience a plus
High degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle
Direct experience in healthcare or workflow process technology, familiarity with patient access and intake processes is a plus
Demonstrate critical thinking, ability to bring order to unstructured problems
Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
Passion for innovation and technology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Gracious and welcoming personality for customer service interaction
Working Conditions
Ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours to support production deployments
Must possess a smart-phone or electronic device capable of downloading applications, for multifactor authentication and security purposes
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move around the work area; Sit; perform manual tasks; operate tools and other office equipment such as computer, computer peripherals and telephones; extend arms; kneel; talk and hear
Mental Demands: The employee must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
