**Job Description:**The Marketplace & Partnerships division is responsible for all elements of strategic partnerships for the dentsu Media practice in the US. The team sits within Amplifi, the Investment, Activation, Partnership and Solutions arm within dentsu. The team is responsible driving marketplace intelligence and being the center of excellence for dentsu and it's agencies (Carat, iProspect and dentsuX). The Marketplace & Partnership team translates the business needs of dentsu's clients. They also translate the strategic and commercial imperatives of dentsu itself. Additionally, they translate emergent and established trends across the industry and society. These translations result in strategic, value-driven, and beneficial partnerships. They also set the strategic agenda for partnerships for dentsu in the marketplace, in new business and in product/solution design within dentsu.The Director will operate as a subject matter expert in the Retail & Commerce, both internally and externally, and will be expected to operate across adjacent media channels, environmental contexts and disciplines. Reporting into SVP, Partnerships, this role will be tasked with supporting the creation of the partnership strategy for their specialism and ensuring excellence in execution of assigned partnerships, including negotiating and delivering partnership agreements, managing communications with assigned partners and ensuring partnerships delivery against core objectives: strategic, innovative, value-driven. You will work with the SVP to ensure core objectives, and contribute to the retail marketplace strategy and vision across all channels. You will support both the buy-side retail team, and the New Stream Media arm of the organization. The Director will have to balance out the requirements of both groups, all the while finding areas where efficiencies can be made with partners playing in both areas.As a role that touches several capabilities within dentsu – from technology to media investment and activation, trading and planning/strategy – an ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create 'win wins' for all. You will be expected to provide ongoing feedback to senior management on status and priority as well as to future-proof dentsu's business by building innovative partnerships with key vendors. Success will be measured upon value creation and extraction rates from the partnerships formed, as well as based on growth in the practice stemming from innovation brought on by our partners.**Main Responsibilities:**Build and guide relationships with specialized partners in the market, distributing pertinent information to management where needed across dentsu stakeholders.* Support the SVP, Partnerships to implement market strategy.* Be a leader and subject-matter-expert in assigned specialism within the Partnership community.* Work between Craft Activation teams and New Stream Media teams to ensure partnership approach meets the needs of our clients and drives value extraction.* Manage daily deal terms and communication of the partnerships, ensuring excellence in execution.* Inform and educate Craft Activation teams on partner deal terms and push new testing and value opportunities to Craft Activation teams.* Support the creation and execution of dentsu and client Joint-Business-Plans and ensure all negotiated value is capitalized on.* Be seen as an integrator and problem solver both internally and externally driving partners and maintaining on-time engagement across several variables.* Help develop key Partnership themes and lead in external communications of these in market (panels, PR, articles).* Provide consistent communication and organization of key partnership information to teams and management to capture all the nuanced detail of these commercial agreements and keep on track for deal progression. Including saving key information for easy distribution across the organization.* Support on client business where needed to build custom partnership plans and subject-matter-expertise of partner landscape.* Participate in new business as subject-matter-expert in specialism and/or Marketplace & Partnership leader on value proposition for potential client.* Remain ahead of the industry in understanding key trends, themes, technologies, and disruptors that can help propel dentsu's practices forward.We are looking for candidates who can deliver sustainable change, think strategically, and retain focus in a fast-changing environment. You should bring rigor to a multi-disciplinary business with many stakeholders.**Qualifications:*** 8+ years' experience within the digital industry as a partnership or investment lead at a reputable agency or partner, specialized in retail media and retail media networks.* 3 years' experience management of a team* Consistent & exceptional project management* Must be comfortable working with and presenting sophisticated metrics to VPs.* Ability to retain professionalism in all situations.* Experience with problem-solving and collaboration across teams.* Ability to translate complex ideas into actionable solutions.The annual salary range for this position is $114,425-$190,900.
