The Account Director will be responsible for cultivating multi‑tiered client relationships and identifying organic growth opportunities to ensure both brand impact and account profitability. This role requires a “strategy‑first” mindset and over 10 years of experience to bridge the gap between complex business objectives and extraordinary creative execution. Job Responsibilities
Provide Strategic and Marketing Leadership (Own the Work)
Dynamic and influential leader, responsible for the general oversight and health of the client and account. Develops the client/agency scope of work. Works with clients, cross‑functional teams and partners to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identify/implement solutions to help achieve client goals. Develops broad industry expertise. Creates and interprets effective analysis to support and further optimize marketing recommendations. Responsible for P&L management and maintaining or improving account profitability.
Effectively Manage a Team (Find a Way)
Manages and serves as a mentor to a team of three to five marketing professionals. Fosters teamwork through a positive, constructive and collaborative work environment that drives our internal and external teams to Be More. Provides team leadership that rewards creativity and positive career development opportunities.
Build and Grow Client Relationships (Create with Purpose)
A champion for great work, the AD reviews and evaluates creative ideas/output to ensure work meets brand and project strategies/objectives, client expectations, and agency standards. Cultivates, develops, and maintains meaningful relationships with key decision‑makers on both client and agency teams. Develops multi‑tiered agency‑client relationships and ties.
Understands clients’ business and generates new ideas to enhance client performance. Identifies and cultivates organic growth opportunities of account/client. Leads the development and presentation of new business opportunities. Required Skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex projects and lines of business simultaneously. Capable of developing and building strong teams—encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Ability to be assertive and take initiative, communicating effectively (oral and written) with people inside and outside the organization at multiple levels. Proven experience and ability to effectively present marketing campaign concepts and ideas to an audience. Demonstrates decision‑making and problem‑solving skills—analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Be enthusiastic, flexible and willing to go beyond assigned duties. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent related experience. 10+ years of Advertising Agency Account Services or Corporate Marketing experience. Experience in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Experience with B to B work preferred. Social media strategy management and digital work experience preferred. Physical Requirements
Sedentary work that primarily involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Light work that could include carrying 5 pounds. Keyboarding. Equal Employment Opportunity
