M–F, 8:00am–5:00pm Description CTG is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role focuses on machine design, SolidWorks modeling, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions. Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems and machine components Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks Support product development from concept through production Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and basic failure analysis Prepare technical documentation including specifications and BOMs Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize designs for cost, quality, and production Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 4+ years of experience in mechanical and machine design Proficiency in SolidWorks (modeling, assemblies, and drawings) Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Skills
Experience with FEA and/or CFD Prototyping and rapid manufacturing experience Exposure to electrical systems, controls, or microcontrollers Basic programming knowledge (Python, C++) a plus Additional Information
