Overview
We are seeking a
Director of Wellness
with supervisory experience in geriatric services to direct, manage and support our Wellness Department. This is a unique, exciting and rewarding opportunity, helping to maintain a Health Services Department of excellence within our beautiful and luxurious community. Full-time schedule requires working one weekend day per week (Sun-Thurs schedule). Responsibilities
Managing daily day operations for the Resident Health Services Department 24/7/365 Demonstrating skilled and confident leadership in hiring, training and scheduling team members Developing and coordinating service plans Conducting resident assessments, both on and off site, in conjunction with the Case Manager Communicating with physicians, residents and families Ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with the New York State Department of Health Qualifications
Must have an active New York State RN License or LPN Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations for Adult Home or Enriched Housing is a huge plus Four-plus (4+) years gerontological nursing and administration experience required Case Management experience a plus Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences Successful management or supervisory methodology with experience managing a department as well as interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training team members Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Be a person of the utmost integrity, with an absolute commitment to resident care Hold experience in assisted living, home health or a skilled nursing setting Having a sense of humor, confidence and composure-under-pressure are key qualities that we look for!
