Our full-time Sales Consultants
are self-driven and motivated to increase market share within an assigned geographical territory, while cultivating new customers and developing relationships with longstanding customers.

Successful Sales Consultants are career-minded, organized, and highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed. They integrate various technologies into day-to-day activities to effectively manage complex projects throughout the construction process from presale to completion.
Approximate split: 70% presale responsibilities
— prospecting, lead generation, customer presentations, solution development, and guiding customers through early stages of the buying process.
Remaining 30%
centers on postsale project management, coordinating project details, communicating with internal teams, and supporting the build through to completion.
Morton Buildings offers structured, comprehensive training and ongoing support throughout the early years of a Sales Consultant's career to ensure long-term success and confidence in the role.
The successful candidate must maintain a willingness to learn and adapt to the constant changes of the construction industry and the evolving needs of multiple markets.
This territory will include the areas of Two Rivers, WI; Bowler, WI; Lily, WI; and Escanaba, WI.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a defined sales territory to achieve or exceed established sales budgets
Prospect, generate leads, deliver customer presentations, develop solutions, and guide customers through early buying stages
Coordinate and collaborate with MBI personnel and subcontractors; navigate permitting requirements
Maintain customer confidentiality; communicate effectively with internal teams
Provide excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Be available during construction-related hours to grow market share within the territory
Qualifications
2 years sales or account management experience preferred OR 5 years of construction management experience
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, construction, or project management preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of maintaining an accurate and organized sales pipeline within Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Minimal overnight travel required beyond initial training and onboarding period
Ability to develop and maintain an adequate sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets
Ability to grow existing market share and be readily available during construction-related work hours
Equal emphasis on coordinating all individuals involved in the building project, including MBI personnel, hiring and managing subcontractors
Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
Must reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire date
Compensation and Benefits
Starting annual pay range of $65,000 to $85,000. Base salary, training subsidy, and commission; earnings expand year over year as experience and portfolio grow
