Hale Hokuala Kauai, Curio Collection by Hilton , is seeking an experienced

Director of Property Operations

to join the team during the pre-opening phase of this highly anticipated 210-room oceanfront golf resort. This is a rare opportunity to help launch a distinctive destination and shape the operational foundation, culture, and service standards from day one.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead operational readiness from pre-opening planning through grand opening and into stabilized operations. The

Director of Property Operations

will partner closely with ownership, construction and design teams, and Hilton brand partners to ensure opening milestones are met while building high-performing leadership teams, establishing operating disciplines, and driving seamless cross-departmental execution across the 210 guest rooms and supporting amenities.

This hands-on leader will play a critical role in developing procedures, supporting hiring and training strategies, aligning brand standards, and ensuring the resort is positioned for long-term success. The ideal candidate brings strong full-service or resort operations experience, thrives in fast-paced pre-opening environments, and is energized by building something meaningful from the ground up.

What will I be doing? As

Director of Property Operations , you would be responsible for directing and overseeing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state and local regulations

Conduct facility inspections

Assign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system Direct, oversee and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs

Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including, but not limited to, scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standard

Direct daily department operations including, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, adherence to federal, state and local standards and meeting participation and facilitation

Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward

Recruit, interview and train team members. The annual salary for this role is between $140,000 and $152,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. -JG1
