For our innovative public-sector client, we are looking for an experienced and driven Enterprise Architect to support a large-scale digital transformation. You will be fully engaged in strategic and tactical IT architecture activities, helping shape future-proof solutions and guiding projects from design through to implementation.
Your Role As an Architect, you will work closely with multiple teams on ongoing projects and exploratory initiatives. You are responsible for creating and maintaining architecture documentation, performing application reviews, identifying architectural debt, and coaching less experienced colleagues. You play a key role within the internal organization, acting as a crucial bridge between business needs and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain solution and enterprise architecture documentation
Support projects with technical analyses and architectural decision-making
Identify, monitor, and manage technical and architectural debt
Guide and coach junior architects
Perform application reviews and technical assessments
Advise on capability mapping and system integrations (e.g. microservices, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
Profile
At least 10 years of proven experience as an IT Architect (Enterprise, Infrastructure, or Solution Architect)
Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and models such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML
Hands-on experience with tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect or Archi
Deep expertise in at least one domain: infrastructure, application, security, data, or process architecture
Solid understanding of project management principles (planning, timing, cost estimation)
Experience in a public-sector environment is an asset
Strong coaching skills and excellent communication abilities
Languages
Dutch – CEFR level C2 (mandatory)
English – professional working proficiency
