We are seeking a motivated, creative, focusedand accountable candidate with a passion and talent for visual storytelling, anddemonstrable experience in various aspects of graphic design for digital andprint formats. Successful candidate will possess the following attributes: Strong visual communication skills Talent and experience in a broad range of design projects with simple to complex layouts and varying quantities of copy and photos from which to build. Experience working within a organizational brand or visual identity structure is a big plus Experience designing flyers, brochures, social media graphics, posters, etc. Intermediate or higher proficiency in the following Adobe Creative Suite Products: In-Design and Photoshop Ability to generate ideas and concepts for creative content based on social media schedules and input from a team of creatives Experience in MS360 Applications such as Teams and Outlook Professional student mentality and willingness to learn from feedback and take direction Problem solving skills are a must Description of duties: Provides graphic design services within the UNM COEHS for social media campaigns, special event collateral, recruitment campaigns, celebrations and targeted messaging Collaborates with other creatives for social media campaigns and video storyboarding and visual messaging strategy. Collaborates directly with Marketing Manager on concepts and priorities Supervision, Hours and Environment: Under direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, with tasks assigned and supported by the Unit Marketing Rep. Max 26 hours per week, will work around class and exam schedule 9 to12 - month appointment (summer hours available if qualified) Traditional office setting with some work on location at events on and off campus Minimum Qualifications Equivalencies not found for this position Preferred Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: In-person, on campus position – occasional allowances for remote work are reviewed upon request Must complete UNM Brand training Optional evening or weekend support may be requested – but is optional Must be available at least 20 hours per week Application Instructions Only applications submitted throughthe official UNMJobs site will be accepted.
