This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a UX Designer - Infrastructure in Switzerland.

As a UX Designer - Infrastructure, you will work on open-source tools that enable the creation and management of cloud environments at scale. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to design intuitive and efficient user experiences for complex infrastructure products. The role combines hands-on design work with strategic thinking, supporting design systems, conducting user research, and shaping the future of enterprise cloud management. You will influence cross-functional decisions, contribute to global projects, and ensure that design solutions are consistent, scalable, and impactful. The position offers a fully remote environment with periodic in-person collaboration, opportunities for professional growth, and a chance to work on pioneering technology in cloud and infrastructure.

Accountabilities

Design and improve tools for building and managing cloud infrastructure, including MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, and Kubernetes solutions

Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define user needs and design strategies for complex systems

Apply UX research, design principles, and heuristics to enhance user experience across infrastructure products

Support and evolve design systems for consistency, efficiency, and scalability

Communicate design decisions effectively to engineers, designers, and stakeholders

Participate in cross-functional working groups to advance horizontal design initiatives

Contribute to the development of open-source software products with a focus on usability and technical feasibility

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in User Experience, Design, STEM, or related field (or compelling alternative path) \ of user-centered design and UX principles for complex software systems Experience collaborating with engineering teams to translate design concepts into functional tools

Confidence in conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to improve designs

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Passion for technology, open-source software, and building scalable solutions

Flexibility to travel internationally twice a year for in-person team events (up to two weeks each)

Curiosity, adaptability, and a results-oriented mindset
