Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Director for the SKY (Supporting Kentucky Youth) program leads a team of licensed therapists serving youth involved in Kentucky’s child welfare and juvenile justice systems. This role ensures high‑quality behavioral and physical health care coordination, supports market strategy development, and serves as a key clinical liaison to state, community, and customer stakeholders. The position reports to the Principal Clinical Leader for Kentucky SKY.
This is a fully remote position, and candidates must reside in the state of Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of licensed behavioral health clinicians in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Coordinate physical and behavioral health services across multiple systems.
- Contribute to the development of market strategies and value propositions.
- Serve as the primary behavioral health clinical liaison to state agencies, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Manage cross-segment projects requiring collaboration, problem solving, influence, and analytical thinking.
- Promote innovation and best practices in behavioral health care across teams.
- Participate in quality management activities to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Required Qualifications
- Kentucky residency
- Kentucky Independent Behavioral Health licensure
- Minimum 5 years of independent licensure
- At least 3 years of experience working with multisystem‑involved youth
- At least 5 years of people‑leadership experience
- Minimum 1 year of Managed Care experience
- Care Management experience
- Advanced proficiency with personal computers, keyboard navigation, and MS Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Acute and Sub‑Acute Psychiatric services
- Experience with discharge planning and crisis intervention
- Experience serving as a liaison with behavioral health providers
- Experience in metrics and performance management
Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related Behavioral Health field

Pay Range
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $78,331.00 - $168,714.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
