Responsibilities

  • Review and document the accuracy of prescription drugs received from the dispensing pharmacy
  • Execute quality assurance checks and document that prescriptions are filled correctly
  • Serve as a liaison between the dispensing pharmacy and the ADCCR
  • Identify and implement roles of inventory coordinators and pharmacy technicians
  • Establish continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in P&T meetings
  • Maintain consistent contact with physicians, mid‑levels, nursing, regional, site administration, and client partners to communicate pharmaceutical needs of all patients
  • Ensure seamless operation of pharmacy services
  • Serve an integral leadership role as HCV Committee member identifying and addressing pharmacy‑related issues related to HIV, HCV, HBV, mental health, diabetes, and asthma
  • Consistently ensure health plans and daily operations comply with policies, procedures, and standards
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of pharmacy services, therapy reports, and pertinent information
  • Conduct thorough monthly and quarterly audits of facilities to ensure proper handling of prescription medication and compliance with state/federal regulations, policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited school
  • Unrestricted Pharmacy License in AZ
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive pharmacy experience; management of pharmacy operations experience preferred
  • A valid CPR or equivalent certificate
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong computer skills
