Meets with prospective tenants and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications. Assists prospects in viewing model apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, available facilities, such as swimming pool and saunas, location of shopping centers, services available, and terms of lease. Completes lease forms or agreements, ensuring resident files are accurate and maintained in a secure place. Collects rental deposits, copies for the file (paper or digital), and forwards to leasing manager or property director for recording. Keeps track of the approval process of each lease file by contacting previous landlords, employers, etc., and maintains contact with the prospective resident about the status and any additional requirements before move-in. Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly. Compiles listings of available units for rent using established company mediums and marketing materials; creates advertisements reflecting current market pricing on a daily basis. Represents the company professionally at all times. Addresses resident concerns and requests promptly to ensure resident satisfaction with management. Assists in distributing community-issued notices (e.g., bad weather, emergencies). Regularly walks the grounds and available units to communicate inventory to prospects. Upholds policies of the community consistently. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates confidence and motivation by interacting with customers while helping with housing needs; maintains strong communication, influencing, and time management skills; enjoys being part of a team; prior retail and/or customer service experience is preferred; availability and flexibility to work weekends.
