Part Sales Apprentice – Tampa, FL

Sun State is seeking a motivated and energetic
Part Sales Apprentice
to join our Parts team in Tampa, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in parts sales while learning the day-to-day operations of a profitable Parts department.
Mission The Part Sales Apprentice will develop and grow the skills necessary to support a profitable Parts department through the requisitioning, stocking, and dispensing of parts to customers—while consistently delivering an exceptional customer service experience.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers at the parts counter and ensure accurate fulfillment of orders
Learn and apply proactive up-selling techniques
Support cashier functions and invoice processing
Work with local vendors to procure parts as needed
Assist with opening/closing invoices, transfers, and backorders within Procede
Learn to navigate Parts Online, Parts Catalog, and Fleet Cross programs
Accurately pull and stock parts within the warehouse
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in a retail, warehouse, or customer service environment preferred
Interest in heavy-duty truck parts
Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn parts systems and product knowledge
Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see
Frequent stooping, crouching, and kneeling
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Work environment includes a well-lit area with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
