Our Scripted Literary department works closely with leading writers, producers, production companies, and rights holders to develop and place projects across film, television, and emerging platforms.
The Role We are seeking an Assistant to support a senior Agent in our Scripted Literary department. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on desk that provides direct exposure to high‑level clients, active deal flow, and the day‑to‑day operations of a top literary agency. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while learning on the job.
Key Responsibilities
Rolling calls, heavy scheduling, and managing a high‑volume calendar
Submitting client materials for open jobs and assignments
Drafting booking memos and invoices
Maintaining and updating departmental databases, records, and cross‑department grids
Communicating professionally with studio and network executives, producers, managers, and clients
Tracking and processing expenses
Reading and covering scripts and other literary material
Skills & Attributes
Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills; ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Competent, polished, and professional when interacting with clients and executives
Independent thinker and problem solver with the ability to anticipate needs and propose solutions
Strong attention to detail; proactive, dependable, and resourceful
Excellent follow‑through and communication skills
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 1–2 years of professional experience
Prior agency and/or management experience is a plus, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceExperience reading and covering scripts and books is a plus
