As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and you may support seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service. Salary and Schedule
Your starting hourly pay rate is
$14.00-$16.00
depending on your skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are between
8-15 hours per week . Availability the week before and after major holidays (which may include weekends) is required. Your Role and Responsibilities
You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores, such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The merchandiser role consists of three major components: Day-to-day engagement:
Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use of technology is essential for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store staff, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. Holiday support:
Hallmark’s operations include seasonal demand. Expect additional days and extended hours around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on actual holidays, and weekends may be involved. Department Resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance of remodels; these may include evenings or weekends. One Team Vision:
You are part of a network of merchandisers that supports other team members across territories as needed. Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs or ladders may be required. Basic Qualifications
18 years of age or older Ability to read, write, and understand English Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled Part-time employees with a schedule under 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
