Overview Greets and assists guests and/or donors. Retail duties include replenishing stock, removing merchandise from the sales floor, changing and maintaining displays, and helping to keep the store neat and clean. Duties are performed according to the established Best Practices of ESGW. The Customer Service Representative position requires competence in cashiering. Flexibility in work assignments to satisfy store needs and cross-training to assist in all aspects of retail operations are required.

Responsibilities

Ensures guest service standards are met.

Uses the “Guest Ready” book to help keep the store clean and organized.

Acknowledges and greets guests who come within 10 feet.

Encourages guests to participate in Round-Up programs to support programs.

Accurately processes guest merchandise-return transactions.

Witnesses Team Member purchases, according to policy.

Completes quarterly Safety Analysis.

Monitors potential safety hazards, reports them, and helps correct them.

Assists with Asset Protection measures by acknowledging guests and alerting supervisors/managers of suspicious behaviors.

Applies Guest Service standards; provides a clean and organized work area at check stands.

Demonstrates reliability, communicates constructively, listens actively, and shares willingly with the team.

Requirements

Knowledge of merchandise, cash register operations, and change-making.

Ability to work with people having different abilities.

Able to perform repetitive tasks independently.

Knowledge of current trends is helpful.

Must be able to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends. Available to work all shifts (weekends and nights required).

Physical Requirements

Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times). Requires use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Requires moving 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance. Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.

Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.

Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods and go up and down steps.

Experience

0-2 years

High school/Equivalent

Knowledge of merchandise, cash register operations, and change-making.

Ability to work with people having different abilities.

Knowledge of current trends is helpful.

Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends. Available to work all shifts desired.
