About the Position As a

Parts Counterperson at Steven Kia , you play a critical role in keeping our service, sales, and body shop departments running efficiently. You will serve as a key point of contact for both internal teams and retail customers, ensuring accurate parts selection, timely order fulfillment, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment while maintaining a professional and friendly approach.

Responsibilities

Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.

Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Provide accurate and timely updates regarding parts availability and order status.

Read and navigate parts catalogs to correctly identify and source parts.

Answer incoming calls, provide pricing quotes, and share product information.

Review body shop estimates to ensure correct parts ordering and accurate pricing.

Deliver high-level service to both internal and external customers.

Pull and fill parts orders from inventory and perform weekly bin checks to maintain accuracy.

Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock items or materials requiring immediate attention.

Source out-of-stock parts from external vendors and submit emergency orders when necessary.

Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed to service repair orders.

Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.

Compensation

Hourly plus Performance BasedCommission

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; prior automotive parts sales experience preferred

Motivation to grow in a fast-paced dealership environment

Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills

Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documentation

Solid math skills, including calculating discounts, percentages, and commissions

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
