Job Description The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle. The Technician disassembles, repairs and reassembles vehicles, playing a pivotal role in our promise of speed, quality and customer excellence. The role aligns with the company’s KPIs and requires a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.

Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.

Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor damage; mix and apply filler resins when necessary.

Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.

Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts. Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.

Replace or repair interior parts as needed.

Weld and attach parts, and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed‑upon equivalent.

Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles to ensure correct execution.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Required Skills/Abilities

Read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Collaborate effectively with other repairers.

Thorough understanding of methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.

Proficiency in using tools required for the trade.

Other Requirements

Work safely in a noisy area with odors present.

Lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.

Be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs and inspections.
