Overview
The Olympic Valley Fire Department is seeking a motivated, qualified, and enthusiastic individual to join our team. Under the supervision of a Captain, this position performs daily station duties, assists with fire prevention activities, and responds to medical and fire emergencies using advanced life support skills. Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of firefighting tactics, equipment operation, technical rescue, and emergency medical care, along with the ability to think clearly and act effectively in high-pressure situations. Applicants must meet physical requirements, pass a pre-placement physical and drug test, and provide a current CPAT card, valid driver’s license, EMT-Paramedic certification, CPR certification, and Firefighter I or equivalent. Incumbents will be provided with driver training and will be required to possess a Firefighter C license within one year of hire. Incumbents shall maintain a good driving and safety record. Candidates not currently accredited to practice within the Sierra-Sacramento Valley EMS Authority region must receive accreditation within 60 days of hire. Responsibilities
