Job Summary
As a Houseperson (Public Areas Attendant) at the Historic Taos Inn, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in a hotel setting. Your duties will include cleaning and sanitizing various areas, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurant and bar, and guest rooms. You will also assist with laundry services, replenish supplies, and ensure a safe environment for guests and residents. You will have seasonal tasks including basic lawn and garden clean‑up as well as cleaning and restocking wood fireplaces. You will perform a wide variety of tasks and you need to be a self‑starter and complete all daily tasks with a minimum of supervision. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred Strong attention to detail Ability to work efficiently and independently Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor Willingness to learn new skills and work cooperatively on a team. Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to established standards Collect and dispose of trash Replenish amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public areas Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards Assist with laundry services as needed Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests and residents Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods Work in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat and humidity and cold, sometimes freezing, temperatures Schedule
This is a full‑time position in a 24/7/365 hospitality environment that requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
