Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead EDB's comprehensive AI initiatives. The Director of Data & AI Program Development will bridge strategy with execution, focusing on driving the adoption, governance, and delivery of AI and data initiatives throughout the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders in Engineering, Product, GTM, and Operations to design and implement an AI operating model that evolves from proof of concepts to tangible, measurable production results. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong program management abilities alongside technical expertise in data systems, automation, and AI technologies. Your Impact Will Include: Program Leadership and Technical Delivery Oversee and manage the implementation of EDB's strategic Data, Automation, and AI roadmap, from conception to deployment. Transform high-level AI strategies into actionable programs with defined technical milestones and KPIs. Collaborate with Engineering and IT teams to ensure the secure, scalable, and compliant execution of AI initiatives across EDB. Facilitate the productionization of AI workflows, transitioning from business-led proofs of concept to supported operational systems. Define and refine the operational model for AI deployments, incorporating data engineering, MLOps, and governance frameworks. Enablement and Adoption Act as a champion for AI enablement, integrating AI capabilities into central workflows across business functions. Partner with HR and Communications to enhance digital fluency and AI literacy initiatives throughout the organization. Develop reusable frameworks for internal and customer-facing AI applications following the Customer Zero model. Establish continuous feedback mechanisms between internal users, product, and data teams to inform developments. Cross-Functional Coordination and Governance Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Security teams to reinforce AI governance and data management standards. Work with Trust, Risk, and Compliance to ensure adherence to security and regulatory policies across all AI workloads. Align efforts with the Central AI Committee and Communities of Practice on tools, data access, and deployment strategies for AI. Support EDB's Postgres AI and Sovereign AI roadmaps, ensuring integration across analytical, transactional, and ML systems. Measurement and Impact Define, track, and report KPIs linked to AI-driven business value, including automation efficiency and customer engagement. Collaborate with BI teams to operationalize these metrics in tools like Tableau and other observability platforms. Ensure visibility into AI workloads, resource utilization, and infrastructure cost forecasting. Oversee the measurement and reporting of impacts from all AI initiatives, from productivity gains to customer results. What You Will Bring: 10+ years of experience leading Data, AI, or Digital Transformation initiatives, especially in enterprise settings. Demonstrated success in managing data-centric or AI programs that connect business and technical governance domains. Comprehensive understanding of AI architecture, including embedded AI, generative AI, and deployment frameworks. Familiarity with data governance, MLOps, automation tools, and cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Proficient program management abilities, confident in steering complex initiatives from inception to delivery. Skill in translating intricate technical concepts into practical strategies and execution plans. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of engaging senior leaders and cross-functional teams. What Will Give You an Edge: Experience in a Customer Zero or similar internal piloting role. Familiarity with the challenges of data fragmentation and the importance of centralized, structured data. Expertise in change management for new technology adoption, addressing team-wide adoption hurdles.
