Account Executive
to join our dynamic sales and business development team at WDIV, a top-ranked television station in Detroit, Michigan. Our station boasts a strong online presence, with a number one market ranking for our website, and offers a comprehensive suite of advertising solutions through our full-service digital agency, Omne. As a key member of our award-winning sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in Television and Digital media. This involves maintaining exceptional client relationships and leveraging our cutting-edge technology and industry expertise to power client success. Responsibilities
Identify and target potential advertisers for Television and Digital media to drive new business growth.
Grow Linear / Digital Transactional Television Revenue
Develop strategic plans to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Build effective verbal & written marketing presentations
Fluent in various Digital Marketing solutions for owned and operated (O&O) and Extended Reach
Utilize and incorporate multimedia advertising solutions for existing and new clients
Upsell existing clients by engaging them in our full product line
Utilize strong communication and organizational skills to manage client relationships effectively.
Maintain an active pipeline using Salesforce to ensure continuous new business development.
Foster strong, long-term client relationships through personalized service.
Stay updated on industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
Provide regular performance reports and market insights.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in media sales, broadcast, agency or digital marketing experience.
Google Analytics Certified is a plus.
Proven track record of selling advertising OR account management in an agency environment.
Ability to prospect for business utilizing research and effective consultative selling principles to generate business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
Excellent communication, analytical skills, proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, and a strong understanding of digital and television advertising platforms, preferred.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment in a rapidly changing industry.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Experience with Salesforce and/or project management software preferred.
Google Analytics experience a plus.
Experience with Wide Orbit is a plus but not required.
Prior media and/or marketing experience is preferred but not required.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record acceptable to the company and reliable transportation for sales calls.
