
Senior Construction Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities
Oversee purchasing staff with trade partner negotiation and contracts
Manage relationships with local trade partners, manufacturers, and distributors
Recruit, onboard and maintain trade partners adequate to build homes on time and on budget
Ensure all trade partners are properly documented per company policy before work commences
Oversee contract maintenance to reduce reliance on VPOs
Offer strategic guidance to senior leadership on purchasing trends, risks, and opportunities
Measure trade partner performance
Counsel and manage trade partners that do not produce results or meet company standards
Drive cost awareness and cost savings strategies across the company
Administer rebate program with applicable trade partners, manufacturers, or distributors
Manage Design Studio product offerings
Monitor products offered and implement favorable pricing strategy
Qualifications
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in the construction industry
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management
Excellent supplier management abilities to foster positive relationships
Solid knowledge of residential building plans and materials
Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and make informed decisions
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
