The role seeks a visionary with ability to communicate across departments effectively and bring ideas to life. Youll need to partner with end-users of Ethos systems and engineers to create a constant and virtuous cycle of improvements on our underwriting ecosystem./ph3Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliOngoing analysis and monitoring of rules engine and workbench performance/liliContinued review of evidence and synthesization of underwriting data from all sources/liliWork with Head of Underwriting Strategies to assess business risk for changes to underwriting guidelines/liliCreation of specific recommendations and action plans to drive automated underwriting decisions and process improvement across underwriting and case management/liliAct as both an owner and contributor to multiple projects and initiatives/liliSolidify protocols for rule and system enhancements/liliMaintain appropriate documentation for underwriting criteria, guidelines and workflows/liliAbility to prioritize system decisions based on business need, business case and ROI/liliServe as underwriting process expert and liaison to work cross-functionally with colleagues and partners in product, engineering, operations, finance, marketing, legal, etc/liliEnsure end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments through onboarding training and regular updates/liliWork with engineers to serve as a business liaison in order to efficiently integrate new data, models, partners programs, and applications as the need arises./li/ulh3Qualifications and Skills:/h3ulli5-10+ years of life new business underwriting and case management experience/liliExtensive experience with underwriting rules engines and rules management/liliComfortable working in an agile environment and leveraging systems such as JIRA/liliAn understanding of data and models in the underwriting process/liliThe ability to communicate results and needs among multiple parties/liliA record of identifying opportunities and quickly delivering solutions/liliDesire to be a team player in a dynamic environment/liliAn obsession with the customer and ability to challenge the status quo/li/ulpThe US national base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $212,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
