Job Description The Assistant Editor will support the post‑production team by editing short‑form content, performing compliance edits, finishing assets, and creating basic graphics using existing templates. This role requires strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere, as well as working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

Execute Standards & Practices compliance edits per network guidelines, including blurring and tracking.

Perform short‑form finishing in Adobe Premiere, ensuring accurate audio/video sync.

Apply basic color correction as needed.

Create simple graphics using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects (e.g., snipes, lower thirds, end pages).

Prepare, export, and deliver final digital files to clients.

Work both independently and collaboratively with Coordinators and Finishing Producers.

Communicate effectively via email, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.

Evaluate final audio and video to ensure overall quality and integrity.

Provide excellent client service and deliver assets that meet client expectations.

Troubleshoot technical issues across edit platforms.

Demonstrate proficiency working on both Mac and PC systems.

Qualifications

BA/BS in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

2+ years of professional editing experience.

2+ years of experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong knowledge of digital media workflows, graphics creation, and post‑production processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Familiarity with digital video formats and codecs.

Must be willing to work in New York; 4‑day in‑office schedule (remote Fridays).

Ability to work a flexible schedule - including overtime, nights, and weekends; support 24/7 operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of the post‑production ecosystem is a plus.

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
