Junior Art Director Job Purpose:
As a
Junior Art Director , you are responsible for designing and articulating the creative vision to the team; reviewing designs and determining how to best represent the creative director’s concept. You will work closely with the project manager and creative director to meet clients\' needs and objectives. The goal is to translate marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive creative that stimulates targeted audiences. Responsibilities
Create design concepts for print and interactive and be able to confidently explain rationale. Design comps, initial graphic concepts and final deliverables. Collaborate with the Creative Director, Art Directors, Dev. Team, Accounts, Medical and other key members of the team to produce industry-leading work. Provide accurate time and cost estimates for each tactic. Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience. Participate in weekly internal project planning/status meetings and provide insight into project status and potential pitfalls. Ensure all work is consistent and on brand guidelines and strategy. Contribute to agency/account strategic and tactical brand planning. Elevate creative on assigned accounts/brands. Consult with Creative Director, as well as Accounts, Project Coordination, and other agency team members as necessary to achieve agency objectives. Meet established deadlines or provide reasonable notice of special circumstances requiring deadline extension. Possess understanding of the science and market dynamics of assigned product(s). Participate and help facilitate conception, brainstorming, and creative planning meetings. Assist the Creative Director with improving the technical and creative performance of the Creative team. Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well. Team player with strong communication and presentation skills. Qualifications
Four-year degree in advertising, communication design or visual arts. 1-3 years of Art Direction and strong digital design work experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical medical communications or advertising agency. Expert use of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Adobe XD/Figma/Sketch (does not have to be all 3). Robust design portfolio with combination of digital, print, and web with an understanding of UX design. Strong typographical, motion graphic and interactive design capabilities. In-depth understanding of HTML coding. Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint. Normal office environment. May require regular after hours evening and weekend work.
