About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Lead Atlassian Consultant who can elevate our Atlassian platform to new heights. This position is a full-time contract (5-month duration with potential for extension) and fully remote. As a key player in our internal technology team, you will be instrumental in optimizing our tools to ensure operational excellence and foster future growth. Your Responsibilities Configure and build Jira projects, workflows, schemes, and automation rules in line with design standards and enterprise architecture guidelines.

Design and implement JSM service desks, portals, queues, and SLA configurations to enhance service delivery.

Facilitate collaborative sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate operational needs into effective Atlassian configurations.

Develop and maintain Scriptrunner scripts, custom fields, and advanced configurations to extend platform capabilities.

Ensure uniform application of naming conventions, permission schemes, and governance standards across all Atlassian products.

Mentor junior developers, providing insights on best practices, configuration patterns, and troubleshooting strategies.

Engage in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Conduct code and configuration reviews to uphold quality and adherence to standards.

Document technical specifications, configuration choices, and operational procedures in Confluence.

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT Operations teams to align solutions with the overarching technology strategy.

Support user acceptance testing and refine configurations based on stakeholder feedback.

Act as a liaison with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met in line with strategic direction and project goals.

Qualifications Required: At least 4 years of experience with Atlassian products in configuration, development, or administration roles.

Proficiency in Jira configuration including projects, workflows, custom fields, and automation rules.

Experience in designing and implementing Jira Service Management (JSM) services and configurations.

Solid understanding of Confluence administration and best documentation practices.

Ability to gather and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Strong communication skills with a knack for collaborative problem-solving across technical and business teams.

Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred: Familiarity with Scriptrunner for Jira, including Groovy scripting.

Experience with Jira Product Discovery for product management.

Knowledge of Zephyr for test management.

Experience in configuring Rich Filters, Tempo, and Big Picture.

Familiarity with Bitbucket for source control and CI/CD integration.

At least 2 relevant Atlassian certifications.

Experience in staffing or professional services domains.

Understanding of SOC 2 compliance is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Physical Requirements Ability to perform job functions consistent with ADA requirements.

Primarily sedentary role involving extended periods of sitting.

Capability to perform repetitive tasks using a computer.

The pay range for this role is $70 - $100 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits include health insurance, 401k options, and paid time off.
