Marketing Associate

The Marketing Associate is a vital member of the Broadway Across America's (BAA) South Florida office in Fort Lauderdale as part of BAA. The Marketing Associate assists the Director of Regional Marketing in the tactical implementation of advertising, digital, and public relations campaigns for all of our engagements in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Duties and Responsibilities Executes advertising plans with direction from the Director of Regional Marketing; maintains communication with media reps, vendors, press agents, and venue partners Order and traffic all electronic, print, outdoor, television, and radio ads for all engagements and season subscription campaigns Collaborate with BAA national digital team in the planning, booking, execution, and reporting of digital ad campaigns Facilitates approval process with shows and our New York City headquarters to ensure all collateral is accurate and effective Maintains and/or coordinates all social media campaigns for the Broadway Series including consistent presence over all social media platforms and cross promotions; incorporates national Broadway and show updates to local Facebook, Twitter/X and Instagram accounts as needed Interacts with Ticketing staff on promotional and trade ticket requirements as needed Creates and maintains email blast schedules with venue partners and facilitates any outside email blast requests from local arts groups Coordinates the creation, content and targeting on email, SMS and app communications; verifies and schedules all communications Maintains brand consistency across all marketing collateral Assists Group Sales and Sponsorship teams in creation and execution of collateral and promotional needs Assists with proofing and approving all show programs as needed Attends partner marketing meetings/special committees to represent marketing team Assists with securing and execution of special events, such as cast parties, promotional events and subscriber promotions as needed Supports Director with marketing budgets and settlement delivery for every show and throughout the season subscription campaign as needed Works with marketing staff in NYC and shows to develop new partnerships and third-party promotions Liaises with current grassroots promotional contacts and develops new partnerships for non-media promotional ideas Supports local publicists with occasional press interviews or events, including escorting talent and overseeing interviews as needed Collects and submits advertising invoices to Accounts Payable in New York. Works with internal and venue partner accounting teams to manage client billing. Responsible for collection and creation of appropriate back up, accounting forms and reporting Administers and maintains the local Broadway Across America market webpages for Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando Administers and maintains the local Broadway Across America app for Fort Lauderdale Competencies Cooperation: Establishes and maintains effective relationships; Active listener; Offers assistance and support to co-workers; Works cooperatively in group situations Adaptability: Able to work around unexpected changes of circumstance or workload; Modifies a planned course of action based on new circumstances; Changes communication style to achieve the best results Functional Competencies: Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Basic graphic design; Knowledge of digital advertising; Multitask and time management; Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed; Reliable transportation to and from venue is essential Team Orientation: Fosters team cooperation; Understands team roles and responsibilities; Supports group problem solving; Active contributor within the team Qualifications aka KSAOs To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Experience and knowledge with Monday.com, Microsoft Teams and Google Suite a plus Communication Skills Attention to detail, proof-reading, copy-editing skills Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, partners, or members of the industry Ability to write advertising, social media, and email copy that conform to prescribed style and format Ability to take a positive team approach to working with coworkers Critical Thinking Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with good time management skills to meet deadlines Ability to prioritize projects based on deadlines, time needed to complete, and order of importance Ability to create dynamic marketing and communication strategies to maximize visibility with target audiences Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
