Overview

The personal injury system is broken. When everyday people are at their most vulnerable—recovering from an accident, facing medical bills, and missing work—they are forced to navigate a black box designed to favor the powerful. Mighty is introducing a third option: a free, AI-powered platform that provides consumers clarity, valuation, and negotiation power to realize the full value of their claim. We are building a consumer-first alternative that helps everyday people take control of their personal injury claims. Our mission is to become the default starting point after an accident, guiding users toward a fair and informed outcome. The Role

The Role: Designing for Real-World Impact.

We are looking for a product-minded Senior Product Designer who wants to solve messy, high-stakes human problems with AI-powered software. This isn’t a role for visual polish or speculative concepts. You will design experiences that determine whether people trust our AI, understand their options, and feel confident taking action during one of the most stressful moments of their lives. You will work on the core surfaces of Mighty—where AI meets real people. Your designs will shape how users understand valuation, navigate negotiation, and make decisions that directly affect their financial recovery. Why NYC? We are a high-conviction, in-person team. We believe that when you are building a product that impacts human lives, high-bandwidth collaboration in a shared office is essential. You’ll join our NYC hub in Flatiron, where we whiteboard, debate, and ship in real-time. The Challenge

Clarity from Complexity:

Turn AI-generated valuations, document analysis, and recommendations into interfaces people can easily understand and trust. Guided Decision-Making:

Design flows that help users know what to do next—without overwhelming them—at each step of their claim. Human-Centered AI:

Make it clear what the system is doing, why it’s doing it, and where human judgment fits in. High-Trust UX:

Design for a regulated, emotionally charged environment where correctness, empathy, and transparency matter more than novelty. End-to-End Ownership:

Own key user journeys from intake through outcome, iterating closely with product, engineering, and domain experts. Who You Are

7+ years of product design experience, ideally on consumer products with real-world stakes. Experience designing AI-enabled, data-driven, or automated systems—and making them legible to users. Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a bias toward clarity, usability, and trust. You are motivated by doing well by doing good. You want your work to have a meaningful impact, not just aesthetic polish. You thrive in an in-person environment and value close partnership with engineers, PMs, and domain experts. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:

$170,000-$220,000 DOE. 401(k) with a partial company contribution Health, Vision, and Dental benefits Stock options Flexible PTO - take time when you need it L&D opportunities Lunch provided in-person at the NYC office And more Apply for this job
