The Video Editor role is a full-time (hybrid) position based in our San Francisco office. The person in this role will produce engaging video content for organic social media, paid social media, and site. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, has a passion for visual storytelling, a great eye for design, and stays up to date with video and social trends to engage audiences efficiently.

Responsibilities

Produce and edit video content from concept to completion, ensuring all content translates the brand and adheres to established style guides.

Manage and organize raw footage, creative assets, and final clips, including updating the content database with metadata and attributes.

Create various cuts and crops for different platforms (website, social media, paid advertisements) based on platform requirements and behavioral norms.

Execute the seasonal calendar and content updates based on timelines from cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with the Manager, Video Content and work with business and marketing teams to clarify objectives, revise creative, and ensure campaign accuracy.

Assist in tracking final assets for content accuracy and in publishing media content when necessary.

Maintain a strong interest in social media platforms and content creation with an understanding of performance across major channels.

Maintain presentation boards related to content shoots, both evergreen and seasonal.

Proficient in Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and FTP systems; advanced editing of raw footage for various platforms.

Color correction and grading to enhance the overall look and feel of the footage.

Ability to work with sound design, motion graphics, and visual effects when needed.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage and maintain video files, assets, and projects.

Ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive, creative thinker who is willing to go above and beyond.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, editing techniques, and social media best practices (including proficiency in video analytics).

Requirements

4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a media, retail, or e-commerce environment with a lifestyle-oriented brand.

Ability to perform work onsite in the San Francisco, Rocklin, Portland, New York, or San Jose offices full-time, subject to state, local, and company guidance.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay range: 95,000 – 110,000 USD (varies by market and experience).

Benefits may include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other programs.
