The Managing Editor, Endocrinology AI, will work in close collaboration with the Vice President of Content to oversee the development, management, and delivery of high quality digital content. This role requires exceptional editorial judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with partner policies and recommendations. The Managing Editor will also serve as a liaison across departments, managing editorial workflows, staff, and contributors to support the growth of a leading endocrinology-focused digital publication. Job Responsibilities
Identify and collaborate with key opinion leaders, subject matter experts, and internal teams to generate timely, high-visibility content on AI in endocrinology. Partner with IT, design, sales, and editorial teams to oversee website development, establish production timelines, meet deadlines, and support the growth of the digital platform. Plan, assign, and secure content that upholds scientific and technical standards, adheres to industry best practices, and meets the needs of endocrinology physicians and health care professionals. Cover major endocrinology and society meetings into the content strategy for the brand. Provide the sales team with insights into endocrinology AI trends, emerging therapies, clinical trials, and abstracts to support business development; contribute to discussions regarding revenue-generating content and programming opportunities. Manage budgets and ensure compliance with company guidelines related to publication management systems (e.g., Quark, AI platforms, Umbraco). Review and edit all content to ensure the highest levels of accuracy, reliability, and adherence to editorial standards. Required Qualifications
10-15 years experience Proficiency with AI platforms, Microsoft 365 Office Suite, Quark, and Umbraco Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with advanced copyediting expertise and proficiency in AMA style. Highly organized with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and consistency. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor with proven leadership abilities to manage staff and resolve editorial challenges. Expertise in optimizing content for diverse platforms, including digital and social media.
