CareFirst Urgent Care is seeking a Marketing Assistant / Social Media Content Creator to support all aspects of our marketing efforts, with a strong focus on social media content creation, digital marketing execution, and on-site storytelling. This is an in-person role that requires regular travel to CareFirst locations to capture content with our clinical teams. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, fast-moving, and excited to contribute directly to business growth. This role will work closely with a small marketing team, as well as our operations and clinical staff, to help drive patient volume, engagement, and brand consistency. Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation Fully manage CareFirst’s social media presence across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok Create regular short-form video content both on-site with staff and through AI, graphic design, and editing tools Edit social media content using CapCut, Canva, and native platform tools Stay on top of social trends and quickly adapt content to capitalize on timely opportunities Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and community interactions in a friendly, professional, and persuasive manner Digital & General Marketing Support Create SEO-optimized website content to support local search and patient acquisition Manage and update the CareFirst website using WordPress Design graphics and marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva Assist with the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns Support paid and organic marketing initiatives as needed Events & Community Engagement Help prepare for and attend select community events, sponsorships, and marketing activations throughout the year Assist with event setup, staffing, and post-event follow-up content Collaboration & Growth Focus Work closely with marketing leadership, operations teams, and clinical staff Coordinate with office teams to capture authentic, engaging content Contribute ideas and execution that support business goals, particularly patient volume growth Manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced, lean team environment Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience) In-person availability required Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required Strong experience editing social media content using AI tools, CapCut, Canva and native social platforms such as Instagram and TikTok Understanding of SEO best practices Experience with WordPress and Email platforms such as Mailchimp, a plus. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Comfortable working with clinical staff and encouraging participation in content creation Friendly, confident, and persuasive demeanor Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to move quickly without sacrificing quality Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives both independently and collaboratively Technologically savvy What We’re Looking For
