What you will do
In this position, you will lead Klarna’s day-to-day social media publishing and community engagement across established and emerging channels, ensuring Klarna shows up with credibility, clarity, and cultural relevance. You will strengthen Klarna’s narrative as an all-in-one money app by translating complex financial offerings into accessible, channel-native communication while actively engaging with communities that shape public perception. This position sits at the intersection of culture, community, and trust, requiring real-time awareness of conversations, trends, and sentiment across platforms. You will proactively protect and reinforce Klarna’s reputation by identifying misinformation, engaging constructively where appropriate, and escalating sensitive matters internally when needed. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external community voices, you will help evolve Klarna’s social presence into a trusted, human, and distinctive voice in fintech.
Who you are
Proven experience in social media and community management within fast-moving consumer brands, technology, fintech, or culture-led environments
Deep, hands-on fluency in platforms such as Reddit, X, and TikTok, with a strong understanding of how other channels like Instagram, YouTube, Discord, and Substack differ in tone and behavior
Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, credibly, and humanly across a range of topics and situations
Demonstrated ability to engage authentically in-channel, balancing brand responsibility with earned community presence
Experience handling reputation-sensitive conversations, including correcting misinformation with tact and sound judgment
Ability to simplify complex or technical topics, including financial products or regulatory nuances, without compromising accuracy
Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage priorities independently and move quickly in dynamic environments
Awesome to have
Agency experience or equivalent experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities at speed
Experience building or scaling community engagement programs across multiple platforms
Familiarity with fintech, financial services, or consumer finance ecosystems
Interest in using AI and emerging tools to enhance workflow, insight generation, and content iteration

The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. The salary range posted in the job advertisement refers to the base pay.
