Our
Marketing and Communications Specialist
will support a wide range of marketing, communications, and event initiatives across the organization. They will be responsible for intake and workflow management, overseeing content scheduling, handling internal and external communications, social media engagement, and ensure the smooth operation of the company store and product orders. Our Marketing and Communications Specialist plays a key role in supporting internal events, community initiatives, and tracking the effectiveness of our communication strategies. Salary Range $60,000 ~ $70,000 The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hybrid Work Location
This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come in our Office two days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI. If you: Can coordinate marketing and communication requests, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization in Lytho, and alignment with organizational goals and timelines. Have been accountable for the content intake process and maintaining the editorial calendar to ensure a smooth flow of marketing and communication efforts. Have monitored and engaged with social media channels, responding to comments and messages to maintain positive brand reputation and engagement. Have gathered data to evaluate communication effectiveness, including social media performance, employee engagement, and event participation and provide insights and recommendations for improving future communications strategies. Would enjoy posting internal communications on WPS’s platforms, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Can distribute all-employee emails and schedule social media content, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand messaging. Have managed inventories, product orders, and fulfillment requests for the company store, ensuring smooth operations and on-time delivery of promotional materials. Can track and coordinate product requests for employee engagement initiatives, events, and organizational needs. Enjoy assisting with internal events, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. Can support the Cares Community initiative by coordinating surveys, mailings, and tracking results. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 or more years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Project management skills with strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize. Experience with social media platforms and scheduling tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with WPS Systems tools and processes. Experience using Lytho project management software.
