Responsibilities
Join the Red Cross Advertising and Marketing Volunteer! In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting new volunteers by enhancing our outreach efforts through various media platforms.
Update Flyers and Materials. Utilize Brand Central to ensure all our recruitment materials are current, engaging, and aligned with Red Cross branding guidelines.
Flyer Distribution. Help distribute flyers in key community areas to promote volunteer opportunities and increase awareness of our mission.
Online Postings and Follow-Ups. Manage and update online postings, ensuring timely follow-ups to engage potential volunteers effectively.
Collaboration with Local Newspapers. Work closely with local newspapers to publish recruitment articles that highlight the rewarding opportunities available within the Red Cross. E-Newspapers Contributions: Send compelling articles to e-newspapers, broadening our reach to digital audiences.
Social Media Group Outreach. Engage with social media groups to promote volunteer opportunities, sharing stories and updates to inspire action and involvement.
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field is beneficial
Comfortable using social media platforms and digital communication tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative, proactive, and enthusiastic about community service
Requirements
A flexible commitment of at least 6 months and 10-12 hours per month.
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (a Red Cross vehicle and gas card will be provided).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional and positive attitude.
A willingness to learn and follow the Red Cross policies and procedures
