
Pay Range: $58,736USD to $73,419USD
SUMMARY
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for promoting a positive image of the company by ensuring that all internal communications reflect the mission, vision, and values of Banterra. This role also supports the management of internal communication channels and platforms, ensuring content is timely, accurate, engaging, and aligned with a culture of collaboration, recognition, and effective information sharing.
The ideal candidate is an adaptable and creative communicator with strong writing and editing skills, capable of producing clear, compelling, and audience appropriate content across multiple formats.
By collaborating across departments, the Communications Coordinator contributes to the organization’s overall success by supporting strategic goals and values and serving as an engaged member of the Communications team and Banterra.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop and execute communication strategies that reinforce the company’s mission, vision, and values. Partner with the Communications team to ensure all messaging supports organizational goals and maintains consistent standards. Manage and continually enhance internal communication channels—including newsletters, the intranet, and other designated platforms. Create, review, and coordinate content for internal communications such as memos, newsletters, videos, and presentations. Support and maintain internal communication brand standards to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Monitor team member feedback and recommend updates to communication strategies when appropriate. Collaborate with all departments to guide, develop, and publish engaging, accurate intranet content. Work cross functionally to produce internal articles and other communication materials. Write clear, concise, and compelling content across all internal communication formats, demonstrating strong grammar, editing, and storytelling skills. Assist in delivering leadership messages, ensuring key strategies and updates are communicated effectively throughout the organization. Oversee the intranet communication channel, including content posting, page updates, and ongoing site development. Assign tasks to direct reports and provide ongoing support, coaching, and performance oversight. Provide constructive feedback to Communications team members through evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as needed. Perform specialized or confidential clerical work, including drafting correspondence, memos, forms, and reports. Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required. Direct experience in internal communications, strategic planning, or a related field required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A strong understanding of project management principles. Demonstrated copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills. Experience in various design and content creation programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and PowerPoint. A highly organized approach to work, with the ability to clearly define inefficiencies, offer appropriate solutions, and document processes. Change management skills and the ability to effectively help team members adapt to new policies and procedures. Confident decision-making abilities and the skill to use sound judgment about the timing of choices; particularly the ability to make informed, responsible decisions with limited information or under considerable amounts of stress. Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, within the organization at all levels. A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions. Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite. Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position. Current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally while performing assigned duties and responsibilities. The ability to work with minimal or no supervision. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Project management certification preferred. Experience working with remote and hybrid national teams preferred.
