Sales Operations Specialist Europastry

is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Sales Operations Specialist to support our commercial organization through pricing strategy, cost analysis, market intelligence, and operational excellence.

Overview Position Summary

The Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in driving sales effectiveness and margin optimization by delivering accurate pricing analysis, cost insights, and performance reporting. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to support strategic pricing decisions, ensure data integrity, and align commercial execution with company objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Review, validate, and process daily pricing requests, ensuring accuracy of customer conditions including Broker, Marketing, SPA, Terms, Pick Allowances, and Logistics.

Accurately log and track all pricing requests within the pricing management system.

Utilize standardized pricing templates and analytical models to generate pricing recommendations for Sales Managers.

Distribute approved pricing proposals to Sales Managers in PDF and system-generated formats.

Maintain, analyze, and interpret costing files for both imported and locally produced products.

Develop, maintain, and enhance cost comparison tools to evaluate product costs, customer pricing scenarios, margin impact, and competitive positioning.

Conduct margin, cost-to-serve, and profitability analyses to support pricing and customer strategy decisions.

Maintain and update item master data, including product specifications, pricing attributes, and cost components.

Manage and maintain company pricelists, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.

Support the design, evaluation, and tracking of growth incentive and promotional programs.

Leverage ERP and CRM systems (JD Edwards and Salesforce) to validate product data, pricing structures, and cost assumptions.

Apply market intelligence, competitive benchmarks, and trend analysis to support data-driven pricing and commercial strategies.

Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and advanced Excel to monitor sales performance, pricing effectiveness, and margin trends.

Maintain a strong understanding of the company's pricing architecture, cost drivers, and operational capabilities.

Ensure pricing analysis and recommendations align with overall financial goals and business strategy.

Qualifications

Associate's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, pricing, financial analysis, or a related analytical role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Tableau, JD Edwards, and Salesforce.

Experience developing cost comparison models, pricing tools, or margin analysis frameworks.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
