Job Summary/Description WSAZ NewsChannel 3, a dominant NBC affiliate in the Charleston-Huntington television market, has an immediate opening for an experienced Multimedia Sales Manager for their Huntington office.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with the Sales Management Team to employ a servant leadership sales culture, where support, accountability, and winning drive our success.

Recruit, hire, and train Digital and Business Development Focused Multimedia Executives

Develop a steady stream of new business across our platforms

Attend CNAs and Pitches regularly with Multimedia Executives

Serve as the subject matter expert on all company solutions and systems, providing guidance and support to the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue & Budget Management

Own achievement of the station's local sales budgets (broadcast and digital), setting targets and tracking performance

Develop and execute integrated sales strategies that drive revenue across all channels

Analyze market and performance data to identify opportunities, optimize pricing and packaging, and report results to senior leadership

Develop new revenue streams and approve/clear orders

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, and supervise local Media Executives

Lead sales training and coaching programs to elevate team performance across broadcast and digital platforms

Manage, mentor, and hold accountable all local Media Executives

Continuously recruit and build bench strength for team growth

Make sales calls alongside Media Executives to model best practices and support success

Strategic Growth & Digital Expansion

Plan and lead the strategic growth and monetization of digital products and packages

Expand and diversify the station's internet advertising base through prospecting, partnerships, and new product development

Develop packages and sponsorships to drive incremental revenue

Client Relations & Account Management

Act as a client-facing resource for key accounts

Build relationships, present solutions, and ensure excellent service delivery across the department

Evaluate and resolve customer service concerns as needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Assist the Director of Sales in managing inventory, research, personnel, and rates

Develop strategies with the Director of Sales for goal-setting expectations

Actively participate in weekly creative meetings to identify new business opportunities

Work collaboratively with other sales leaders

Remain current with market conditions and competitive landscape

Qualifications/Requirements Required Qualifications:

Previous sales experience (Media Sales preferred)

College degree

Technical & Industry Knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong understanding of broadcast television sales (on-air and online)

Strong knowledge of digital advertising products, programmatic basics, audience targeting, and measurement metrics

Overall knowledge of Nielsen/ComScore ratings and methodology

Advanced knowledge of the current station programming schedule

Computer literacy and strong technical aptitude

Leadership & Relationship Skills

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of Media Executives

Ability to build and maintain relationships and trust with clients

Ability to set strategic direction both internally and externally

Ability to give public presentations and communicate effectively with diverse audiences

Must be a good listener

Professional Attributes

Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure

Ability to remain current with market conditions and competition

Experience leading both local account executives and digital account executives in achieving sales goals

Preferred Qualifications

Wide Orbit experience

WOMS (Workspace Optimization Management System) experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
