PCS is a family-owned Systems Integrator/Automation Engineering and Manufacturer's Representative, specializing in both plant-wide control systems and pumping solutions, mostly, but not totally, in the Municipal water/wastewater treatment sector.
PCS is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team and handle Long Island and possibly NYC.
We have approximately 40 employees. Our main office is in Fairfield, NJ.
This position is expected to operate out of the successful applicant's home, with occasional visits to our office (about 20 miles west of GWB off RT 80).
Responsibilities:
Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers throughout Long Island and New York City
Prospect and contact potential customers
Join and participate in local water/wastewater associations
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
Provide simple but regular updates/call reports to management
Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
Create sales material to present to customers
Present quotations. Complex quotations are done by our estimating group.
Close deals
Qualifications:
Some experience in Technical sales is desirable. A technical background for a newcomer with exceptional personal skills is also desirable.
A technical degree is a +.
Ability to build rapport with clients - this is a personal skills business.
Excellent communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Windows 11, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc...
