Inside Sales Representative We are currently seeking an
Inside Sales Representative
to join a
values-based organization
within the building materials industry. In this role, you will support sales efforts by managing inbound customer inquiries, building strong relationships with retail and big box customers, and partnering closely with operations and outside sales teams to maximize revenue opportunities. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions Receive and manage incoming and outgoing sales-related calls from new and existing customers Provide product pricing, availability, and distribution service information Respond to requests for quotes, place orders, and coordinate with operations on fulfillment Schedule deliveries, communicate shipping timelines, and proactively address anticipated delays Administer and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner Partner with the outside sales team to execute strategic sales plans and uncover new opportunities Conduct customer follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and ongoing relationship development Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and retail market dynamics Perform additional duties as assigned by management Core Competencies Problem Solving & Analytical Skills Customer/Client Focus Decision-Making Ability Strong Verbal and Written Communication Teamwork & Collaboration Technology Proficiency Required Qualifications High school diploma required; associate degree preferred 2–4 years of sales experience; building materials or construction industry experience preferred Excellent communication skills with a strong service-oriented phone presence Solid understanding of business fundamentals, sales techniques, and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong organizational and administrative skills Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently Basic math and analytical abilities
